As we age, tasks like changing a lightbulb, trimming branches, or clearing gutters can become harder. These small jobs can impact your safety, comfort, and ability to keep living at home with confidence.
That’s where we can help. If home maintenance or garden support is part of your funding and care plan, we can coordinate trusted professionals to carry out the work. Whether it’s fixing a trip hazard, organising lawn mowing, or arranging light gardening, our role is to help keep your home safe, tidy, and suited to your lifestyle.
What is Home Maintenance?
Home Maintenance covers minor repairs and practical tasks that directly support your ability to live independently and safely at home. This may include:
Fixing uneven pathways or trip hazards
Replacing smoke alarm batteries or tap washers
Minor fence or gate repairs
Clearing gutters and overgrown branches
Outdoor safety improvements
For gardening and yard care, we can help coordinate:
Lawn mowing and edging
Whipper snipping
Pruning and light weeding
Basic watering and green waste removal
These services are focused on safety and accessibility rather than cosmetic work or major renovations.
Funding and Eligibility
You may be able to access these services if you receive government-funded aged care through:
Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)
Home Care Packages (HCP)
Support at Home Program (starting 1 July 2025)
If Home Maintenance or garden care is included in your approved support plan, we can assist by connecting you with reliable external service providers.
Our Role
Our job is to simplify the process. We work closely with you and your Case Manager to:
Identify eligible services through your care plan
Coordinate trusted providers to carry out the work
Ensure the services meet your individual needs
Monitor outcomes and adjust as needed
You don’t need to manage it all on your own — we’re here to support your independence every step of the way.
