A Home Care Package (HCP) is a government-funded program designed to help older Australians access coordinated services that support their health, safety, and independence — all while continuing to live in their own home.

What Is a Home Care Package?
Home Care Packages are structured levels of funding provided by the Australian Government to support older people with more complex or ongoing needs. There are four package levels, each offering a different amount of support:
Level 1 – Basic care needs
Level 2 – Low care needs
Level 3 – Intermediate care needs
Level 4 – High-level care needs
With a Home Care Package, you receive a tailored mix of services depending on your circumstances. At All About Living, your Case Manager will work with you to design a Care Plan that may include:

How to Access a Home Care Package
To access a Home Care Package, you must first register with My Aged Care, the Australian Government’s starting point for aged care services.
Steps to apply:
Visit www.myagedcare.gov.au or call 1800 200 422
Request a free assessment through the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT)
If eligible, you’ll be approved for a specific package level and placed on the national waitlist
Once assigned a package, you can choose your provider — such as All About Living — to coordinate your care

Important Update: Support at Home Is Coming
From 1 July 2025, the Home Care Package program will transition into the new Support at Home Program. This reform aims to simplify aged care, offering greater flexibility and consistency across services.
