All About Living have been servicing North Brisbane for over 30 years. One of the most common questions we receive is about the difference between CHSP and HCP. To help clarify, here’s a quick summary:
CHSP (Commonwealth Home Support Program) is designed for older people who need a bit of extra help with daily tasks, such as cleaning, meal preparation, or transportation. It’s ideal for those who are mostly independent but could use some support.
HCP (Home Care Packages) offers more extensive care and comes in four levels, depending on the individual’s needs. Level 1 provides basic care, while Level 4 is for those who require more comprehensive support, such as those with complex health conditions.
The first step to accessing government-funded aged care services is to check your eligibility for an assessment. You can do this online at www.myagedcare.gov.au or by calling 1800 200 422.
If you’ve already had your assessment, All About Living has been a trusted provider for both CHSP and HCP services for over three decades, and we’re here to guide you through the next steps. Reach out to us today at 1300 503 886.
